A iniciativa RISE UP nasceu em Maio de 2019, formada por um amplo grupo da sociedade civil, pescadores, comunidades locais e organizações filantrópicas para pedir aos governos e empresas que tomem as ações necessárias para colocar o oceano num caminho de recuperação para as atuais e futuras gerações.
Em Fevereiro de 2020, o Programa Tatô tornou-se aliado desta iniciativa, que conta com mais de 300 organizações que se uniram para elevar a ambição de recuperar o Oceano. Para que um maior número de vozes se possam juntar a nós, a Fundação Oceano Azul lançou uma campanha digital internacional com um vídeo narrado por Sylvia Earle que evidencia a ligação emocional entre o Homem e o Oceano.

The RISE UP initiative was born in May of 2019, created by a broad group of civil society, local communities and philanthropic organizations to call on the responsibility of governments and companies to take fair actions required to recover and preserve our oceans for current and future generations.
In February of 2020, Programa Tatô became an ally of this initiative, which has now more than 300 organizations associated that joined together to elevate the voice to claim the recovery of our oceans. In order to increase the number of voices that can join us, the Blue Ocean Foundation launched an international digital campaign with a video narrated by Sylvia Earle, highlighting the emotional connection between the Man and the Ocean.
